UNCLE COLBY'S VISIT!!

My younger brother, Colby, had 2 weeks of spring break this year due to some budget cuts.  SO, lucky for us, we got to have him come visit us for a whole week!! And what a week!  I ended up being super busy with my work the first few days he was here, but it was a huge blessings he was here because he entertained my boys and kept them happy and fed for hours!  They built forts, played lots of hide-and-go-seek, wrestled a ton, watched some Megamind, played with Gak and just had all kinds of boy fun! It was a lot of fun for my boys to be able to bond with their Uncle Colby- who they think is the coolest kid out there pretty much.  Every other word in their vocabulary for the week was, "Colby".  "Colby, watch this!  Colby look at that!  I like your cool shoes, Colby. " etc, etc.

Besides my busy work week, we did however get in some fun! Here are some of the highlights!

Five Guys Burgers and Fries (mmmmm, so tasty)
Multnomah Falls
Voodoo Donuts
Children's Museum
Watching Tron
Trip to REI of course
Magnolia Park
Trader Joe's Orange Chicken
Lots of laughing
CAMPING AT THE COAST!!
Cape Lookout
Cape Meares Lighthouse
The Octupus Tree
Short Sands Beach
Dinner at Mo's
Haystack Rock
Cannon Beach

We were VERY sad to see him go!  I'm thinking he needs to come back during every school break!

We took over 200 pictures while he was here, so I will post pictures from each big event and not post them all   =)

I love this picture of the 3 boys watching the falls

After Multnomah Falls, we drove across "The Bridge of the Gods" so Colby could step foot onto the state of Washington and add it to the list of states he's been to :)  Here he is next to some Washington maps and info.

Baron's donut was white frosting topped with mini m&m's.... he pretty much just ate off the m&m's and was satisfied with that.

Next post.... Children's Museum, followed by our coast trip!

Fun times! How great to have him here. Looks like you got to do everything--gave him a real taste of Oregon.
