Sea World, Swimming and a Wedding.... so lots of pictures and lots of fun!

Well we have been very busy having lots of fun! There's so much to do down here in So Cal and since we don't get to come down too often, we really make sure we get as much in as possible while we are here! Unfortunately we also managed to get in a nasty cold (Baron & I), not much sleep, and even a car accident for my dad :(. The poor guy has just had rotten luck lately. But other than those things we have been having lots and lots of fun which means lots and lots of pictures! Here are some from our super fun trip to Sea World (in which Jackson had soooo much fun! His favorite were the sharks), swimming and playing at my parents place, my good friend Bree's wedding in the newport beach temple and we also got to go out to my sister Shannon's new house and play with them , but I forgot to take pictures! Enjoy the pictures we did get though!

Here's Jack and Deek watching the sharks together- they are fast becoming best buddies!

The boys had the most fun getting wet even though it wasn't a super hot day

Jackson was kind of afraid to touch the bat rays, but ended up touching a couple, but only real quickly

Here's some random pictures of just playing and swimming at home:
Baron with my brother, Brandon

Bear and Jackson both loved my sister, Brittany's cute little puppy

The two mess/trouble makers

If anyone knows my dad, you also know that no child or grandchild of his will get away without "flying". He didn't throw Baron up though like he does with Deacon... that will come I'm sure though. I wish these pictures weren't so dark so you could see Bear's face better.... he loved it!

And finally, here' some pictures from my friend Bree's bachelorette party (I just went to the dinner at Joe's Crab Shack in Newport Beach) and her wedding day:

My cousin Hayley and I

We are very excited to have John coming down here tomorrow morning!! We are gonna hopefully be going to the beach and just relaxing since he just took his test this morning! Look for even more posts to come including some super cute pictures of our fun day at the zoo! AND, to see more pictures of our fun, check out my sister, Shannon's blog: http://lifewithdeek.blogspot.com

Disneyland!!

So Jackson, Baron and I are safely in So Cal and having a blast! The boys both did good on the plane, but were really ready to get off by the end. We walked off the plane to 95 degree weather at 9:30 in the morning! It was SO hott! We had already made plans with everyone to go to Disneyland the next day, so we just decided to brave the heat wave and still go. We did have a lot of fun, but I would not really recommend going when it is that hot. Jackson walked around like a bright red zoombie half the time..... he has such fair skin and isn't really used to heat yet. We eventually just got the boys super weat and took them on cool inside rides like Pirates and It's a Small World. Baron was great the whole time just like he always is and didn't even seem to mind the heat too much. Jackson's favorite rides by far were Autotopia (he was able to drive and had the biggest grin on the entire time!), Dumbo, It's a Small World (sorry John but he really did love it!), the carousel and the train. I didn't take my camera out too often because it was just too hot to hasel with it, but here's the pictures that we did get:
Jackson- notice the Buzz Lightyear toy he is holding- it was his souvenier for our trip and he has hardly let go of it! And yes, he even sleeps with it!

Deacon- my older sister's cute little boy
Jackson and his cousin Deacon are becoming best buddies already! They have had so much fun together!

Even Bear got in on the fun

We are hoping to maybe go again before we leave and when it's much cooler. Look forward to the next few posts about our fun day at the zoo and riding ponies and our super fun Sea World trip we just got back from tonight!

Easter

We had a great weekend in Glide with the Grahams for Easter! We picked up John from work on Friday and headed on down with a quick and successful stop at the outlets. (I got 2 pairs of jeans for $15 each!) Saturday was a very fun day! It was perfect weather- a little  bit sunny but not too hot.  We watched the track meet going on, played catch for awhile, I got to go for a short run, we hit some softballs out on the softball field, relaxed in the hot tub, hung out with everyone and ended the day by watching Madagascar 2 which we had gotten Jackson for Easter! (It's actually a pretty funny movie.... if you have kids and haven't seen it yet, you should watch it together!) Sunday we got all dresses up and I made sure our family coordinated (Brown Team)- that was for you mom! After church we took some pictures, dyed some eggs and Jackson did a little Easter egg hunt outside.  Then we had a very yummy early dinner, played some Wii sports and headed on back home! It really was a fun and relaxing weekend! I didn't take any pictures Saturday, but here are the ones we got Sunday in our outfits, thanks to our photographer Jeff and our entertainer for the boys, Heather :) Oh and just as a warning, there are lots of pictures here and even more on my facebook page!

The Tank's 4 Month Stats

Went to the Dr. today for Bear's 4 month check-up and the nurses and Dr. all kept saying how big and strong he is.  What can I say? He is just our little tank.  I was really happy to see though that he has not only gained weight, but he has grown a ton and is pretty even in percentiles for height, weight and head circumfrance, so he is not just short and fat anymore! Here's the stats:

Weight: 18 lb. even  (96%)  Contrary to Grandma Sue's predictions, he is not heavier than his cousin, Summer, who is already 7 1/2 months old...... he is a whole ounce lighter :)
Height: 26 1/2 "  (95%)
Head Circum.: 17" (96%)

He is tall with lots of brains and muscle and a smile that gets ya everytime!  This picture is from Easter.... look for lots more Easter pictures to come soon!

4 Months and Some Firsts

Baron is 4 months!  I can't believe its been that long since he was born, and at the same time, I look at him and think, I can't believe that kid is only 4 months old! He continues to be the cutest, but chubbiest little tank and boy do we just love our little smiler! He has started giggling more, especially at Jackson- he just thinks his brother is hilarious! He has a Dr. appointment on Monday, so I will post his stats then!

Besides that, Baron has had some firsts lately! Just last Friday, Bear ROLLED OVER!! It was pretty funny how it happened..... John was actually home earlier because his hours at work have finally started to slow down, and I was telling him how Bear is probably going to take forever to roll over because he is so chubby.  I was telling
him that he doesn't even try, but just cries when I put him on his belly..... so I put Bear on his belly to show him, and of course he then proceeded to roll over!! And he kept doing it over and over too! He pretty much will do it now anytime you put him on his belly because he really doesn't like laying on it.  Here's one of the many clips we got of the action:

Also, another first, we have already had to give Baron some rice cereal! He is usually a good sleeper, and sleeps a good 10-11 hours or so, but lately he has been waking up in the middle of the night just starving.  So after talking to many moms who suggested we give him a little bit of cereal before his last time nursing before bed, we decided to give it a try.  And sure enough, he likes it, and has been sleeping great since! I know the kid doesn't look like he needs any extra food, but he is so big because he really has a big appetite!  Here's a picture from his first try at cereal:

he looks pretty scared in this picture, but he actually really liked it

And here are just some other super cute pictures of our little man:

Here's a really cute pilot outfit my Grandma Kitty sent him

This is what he did during Conference.... just rolled around on the floor and playing with the knobs on the drawer

This picture just makes me laugh everytime i see it!
