He's Back!!!!

John/Dadda is back!!! He graduated on saturday, and ever since then we have seen more of him in 3 days than we have for the past year! This was mainly because he had to take 18 credits a term including the hardest accounting classes this year so that he could graduate and we could get out of here and move on to starting our real life as we like to call it.  So he hasn't been around too much lately, but he did it and he's back!!  It has been sooo nice having him home too- Jackson especially loves having his dadda home to wrestle around with and play.  So, we've got two weeks to relax a little, pack up all our stuff and find a place to live, and then we are outta here on July 1st!

John's graduation was this past saturday in the late afternoon.  His parents and younger sister, Heather, drove up from Glide to come to the ceremony with us, and Jackson actually did pretty well through it.  John graduated with an accounting major and a music minor.  He will be starting work for Pricewaterhouse Coopers- one of the big 4 accounting firms- in July.   After the graduation ceremony, we took some pictures and then headed over to one of John's favorite restaurants, Outback Steakhouse, where his parents were super kind to treat us to dinner!  After that we headed over to our place to have dessert and continue celebrating John and all his hard work over the past 5 years (2 years at BYU-I and 3 at U of O).   So that's pretty much it! Here's some pictures from the event:

Jackson found a dog of course that he just had to pet

I'd also like to give a little Happy Father's day shout out to my wonderful Dad and Father-in-law, and of course to John, who is the best dad I could have ever asked for to Jackson and Baby #2.  He has put up with a lot during my pregnancies, and he is always there to hold my hair back while i throw up,  do the dishes everynight, play with Jackson so I can take a nap or sleep in an extra 1/2 hour in the morning, and of course to make dinners and lunches when i can't even step into the kitchen without dry heaving.  And he does all this without being asked and with no complaints! He truly is the best husband/dad ever, and my best friend.  I couldn't do it without him and I am truly grateful for all the hard work and effort he has given and most of it is for us.  I love you John! Thanks for everything! Happy Father's Day, and of course Congrats on Graduating!!!

A Relaxing Weekend

John had all these huge projects due this past week, and then this next week is study for finals week, and the week after is finals! Crazy..... time is flying by now! He will graduate in just 14 days and then we will pack for the next 2 weeks and we are outta here! Since the past 2 weeks were super crazy and stressed for John, and for me with apartment stuff, we decided we needed a good break before these next two weeks start with all of their stress.  Therefore, Friday night we headed on down to Glide to John's parents place.   We met them in Roseburg that night and caught some of Heather's softball game, in which her team crushed the other team as always (she is super good and is their star pitcher).  Then, Sue was super sweet and took us out to dinner at Los Dos Amigos, which was a special treat because I love mexican food.  We picked up a movie in town afterwardsnand headed on out to Glide.  Jackson played with Maggie, their dog that he just loves, and his Aunt Heather who is seriously his favorite person ever- he starts smiling and giggling as soon as he sees her, and he even learned how to say her name this weekend! Later that night we played some Rock Band for the first time which was pretty fun, and then we watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.  We've been in an Indiana Jones mood since we went and saw the new one last week.  The next morning the girls, and Jackson headed back into town where Sue had set up a surprise appointment for me to get a spa pedicure!! It was seriously exactly what i needed!! I LOVE getting pedicures, especially while sitting in the chairs that message your back too, and i hadn't had one since Sue had gotten me one for my b-day back in August.  After that we did some grocery shopping, then got some subway and headed over to the park to eat and let Jackson play on the swings and slide, which he loved and had so much fun! The boys back at home played some video games and then went fishing, which John loves to do and has been dying to do for awhile now.  When we got home we took some naps and then had a yummy BBQ that night!

All in all it was the perfect relaxing weekend that we were hoping for.  We each got to do something fun and just relax without worrying about apartments and school stuff! It was a great weekend, big thanks to Gale, Sue and Heather for making it so!!  Unfortunately, we forgot our camera at home, so sorry, no pictures from the weekend, but here is some videos we took today and a sweet picture of Jack midair jumping- his new favorite thing to do, besides shooting hoops of course. Enjoy!
